Raka can only block when all of these are on: Screen Time access (Settings → Focus Mode), at least one app chosen (Settings → Distracting apps), and Location, which is how Raka knows your prayer times. Blocking also stops while tracking is paused.

On the free plan, apps block at Fajr only.

If all of that is set and a prayer still didn’t block, tap Settings → Re-sync prayer schedule, and email us if it happens again.

Open Raka and tap Pray now, then Start Salah. When you’re done, tap “I’ve prayed” and your apps unlock right away. They also unlock on their own when the prayer’s time ends.

In Salah Mode, tap “I can’t pray right now” → Emergency unlock, or use Settings → Emergency unlock. Hold the button for 12 seconds. This unlocks your apps without marking the prayer as prayed.

Yes. Settings → Distracting apps → Always allowed. Choose any app, like your Quran app, Maps or WhatsApp, and it stays usable even when its category is blocked.

Yes. Blocking a category also blocks matching websites in Safari, and you can pick individual websites in the same list as apps.

Isha’s time runs until Fajr. After midnight, last night’s Isha shows at the top of Today so you can still confirm it, and tapping the Live Activity opens it.

Go to Settings → Prayer Calculation and choose the method and Asr timing your mosque uses. Asr timing alone can move Asr by close to an hour.

Still a few minutes off? Adjust times lets you move each prayer earlier or later by up to 30 minutes.

Yes. Settings → Prayer alerts → Reminder before prayer: 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes before. You still get a notification when the prayer begins, which is when apps block.

Check that notifications are allowed for Raka (iOS Settings → Notifications → Raka), and that any Focus you use, like Sleep or Do Not Disturb, lets Raka through.

Turn on Settings → Jummah and set your mosque’s time. On Fridays, Dhuhr becomes Jummah at that time, and apps stay blocked for at least 30 minutes, long enough for the khutbah and prayer.

Settings → Pause tracking stops tracking and blocking until you turn it off, for travel, illness or any time tracking doesn’t fit. Paused days don’t count against your stats.

Free blocks your apps at Fajr. Pro blocks them at all five prayers and Jummah. Everything else is the same on both: prayer times and alerts, the prayer log, Progress, website blocking, Always allowed and iCloud backup.

Settings → Your plan → Manage subscription, or iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least a day before it renews.

If you cancel during the free trial, you won’t be charged. Raka moves to the free plan and keeps blocking at Fajr.

Settings → Your plan → Restore purchases, while signed in with the Apple Account you paid with. Still stuck? Email us with your Raka code so we can look up your purchase.

Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Not if Settings → iCloud Backup says “Backed up”. Your history is saved to your own iCloud and comes back when you reinstall Raka on any iPhone signed into the same Apple Account.

Your location is used on your iPhone only, to work out prayer times, and never leaves it. Raka can’t see which apps you have or use: iOS only lets it block the ones you pick, without telling Raka what they are. More in our Privacy Policy.
